The build on the EG-1 is very satisfying. The usability/workflow of the M4 is better. I had trouble feeding some beans on the EG-1. But I also have that trouble now and then with my MAX. I think both of them have much greater separation of flavor than the Niche--a grinder you mentioned in your original post.
