It was manufactured in Mexico if that makes a difference. i need to change the battery but i cant even find an emergency release in this thing.First I had to pop the small button like clips keeping the fabric cover on the inside of my trunk lid up. The car has to be completely unlocked and then hold the button. An the other day, it wouldn't open with the keys in the ignition. The button on the trunk refused to work until the key was out of the ignition.Slap some clear RTV silicone sealant onto the working button, smooth it into the corners of the latch, and carefully wipe up the excess. Should cost $5 and take 20 minutes.
