Both have proven very reliable, keeping in mind that extractors require more attention than their larger counterparts. I have to concentrate to hit an 8 inch circle at 10 yards while I can hit a 3"X5" index card at that distance with the Glock 42 at a higher rate of speed. At 50 feet I am just horrible with the Max compared to the 42. Some people may say "who cares beyond 10 yards." But, I do, so the Max has no place in my lineup.
