For dual-frequency APs, the planning and validation of –65 dBm or –70 dBm coverage was based on the 5 GHz radio. Unlike Wi-Fi 5, which uses only the faster 5 GHz frequency, Wi-Fi 6 makes use of both the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz frequency ranges.
