The original dub truly messed up making Luna have an old fake British accent. The Sailor Moon S movie definitely exemplified how bad this voice choice was when we saw Luna as a young woman. Other complaints are giving Naru an unnecessary Brooklyn accent or having voice actors who truly can't act (ex. Uranus).
