In the Army (and Navy), it is pretty much entirely officers/high-ranking enlisted who do acquisition. So, a Staff Sergent (like me) will probably have at least double the experience of any given officer in the Army regarding contracting. Ultimately, ANY job is what you make of it. Try to find the positive in situations and use them to your advantage. The AF can offer a lot of positives: travel, diversity, education, leadership, mentorship, and a plethora of life experience.
